Injectables & Fillers

FILLERS NEAR POINT PLEASANT, NJ

As we age, our skin changes. Over time, the natural volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds form. Dermal Fillers are a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to hydrate and add volume. Hyaluronic acid may diminish with age, contributing to the formation of wrinkles and folds. Fillers work to correct this by restoring hyaluronic acid in your skin, helping to smooth wrinkles, fine lines, and folds.

The cosmetic injectable process takes only about 15 minutes and results are immediate. Plus, there's minimal recovery or downtime. You should see an immediate improvement in the treatment areas. Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing. And one treatment could smooth your lines and wrinkles for up to 1 year! However, results may vary and correction is temporary. Supplemental "touch up" treatments may be required to achieve and maintain optimal results. Side effects are usually mild to moderate lasting 7 days or less and included temporary injection site reactions like redness, pain, firmness, swelling and bumps. Treatment is so gentle that most patients resume activities right away. There are lots of dermal fillers to choose from, and ultimately our injector will recommend what is right for you. What Is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is cutting edge therapy in the field of cosmetic enhancements. Although the procedure is relatively new in aesthetics in the U.S.,PRP has been recognized as an effective treatment in sports injury, diabetic ulcer treatment and orthopedics to name a few.

Now patients who wish to use their own body's regenerative power can do so without the concerns for infection, foreign material or surgical interventions. Studies are now showing promise for patients looking for that younger renewed look. It is also beneficial for those wishing to have a fuller facial feature without the use of commercial fillers.

This new addition in cosmetic enhancements has many possibilities such as eliminating skin wrinkles, rejuvenating the skin, improving the appearance in those with acne scarring and hastening the healing process after a facial peel.

The therapy begins by first drawing the patient's own blood into a specially prepared test tube. The tube is then spun down in a centrifuge to separate out the precious platelets. The platelets are an important component in our blood and are necessary for normal clotting. However, these very same platelets, when activated, release several proteins that are beneficial for increasing collagen formation, connective tissue formation, skin tightening, and overall rejuvenation.

The separated platelets are then activated with calcium and then injected to the face or neck area. The injections are performed using very small needles similar to those used in Botox injections. The results are normally seen within 2-3 months and may require 2 separate sessions.

We at Dr Park Ave, in the spirit of offering and performing the latest in cosmetic enhancements, are now offering this therapy to the public. We are excited to remain on the cutting edge of the most advanced technology.

PRP FOR HAIR GROWTH

PRP has been used in a variety of clinical scenarios. Now it has recently been used in aesthetics. A new and effective use of PRP has been the successful regrowth of thinning hair, especially in women. This condition known as female alopecia can now be treated with the use of your own activated platelets. Platelets are commonly known to be one of the main blood components to help us clot normally. It has now been shown that when these platelets are activated with calcium gluconate, a remarkable occurrence happens. The platelets begin to release proteins called cytokines which contain several growth factors. Some of which are effective in regrowing dormant or thinning hair. The process is straightforward, a tube of blood is drawn from the arm just like in a normal physical exam. The tube is then spun in a centrifuge which separates out the platelets. These platelets are then mixed with a solution of calcium gluconate for activation and injected into the scalp with a tiny needle. The procedure is not time consuming and one can conceivably return to work that same day!

Radiesse

Radiesse is a dermal filler which is used primarily for moderate to deep naso-labial folds, marionette lines and the temple area. The main component is calcium hydroxyl apatite, which produces a natural volume replacement. In most cases, the filler has been shown to last upwards of one year.

Revanesse Versa

Dr. Park Avenue offers Revanesse Versa dermal filler procedures in Ocean County. The new Revanesse Versa, like almost all dermal fillers, is made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance. However, Versa stands out among other dermal fillers because it is engineered with a proprietary formula and unique technology to allow great versatility and maximum smoothness beneath the skin while also producing significant volume where it's needed. Its innovative formula allows Versa to give longer lasting results with less swelling.

Who is a candidate for Revanesse Versa?

Revanesse Versa is a multi-purpose dermal filler that is used to correct moderate to severe wrinkles and skin folds. It can be used in the cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and lips to give a more youthful appearance. Before receiving Versa, we will start with a consultation to discuss your goals and decide on the best treatment plan for you.

What is the procedure like?

When applying Revanesse Versa, the practitioner will first cleanse your face and then insert a small needle under the skin to inject the filler. Most patients describe it as just a slight pinch, but a topical anesthetic can be used to reduce any discomfort.

The procedure takes about one hour, but can be longer if there are multiple syringes to be injected. During your consultation, be sure to discuss any concerns you may have about discomfort. Lidocaine is added to Revanesse Versa to relieve any pain or discomfort, and we also can provide stronger pain relief through dental blocks or a topical numbing cream.

What can I expect afterwards?

There is no downtime necessary after treatment with Revanesse Versa, although most patients experience some amount of swelling for at least two to three days and may have some bruising. We will provide you with aftercare instructions, plus Arnica ointment and ice packs to assist with healing. Results may seem

Juvederm Voluma

Voluma has received FDA approval as the first and only injectable implant that provides both volume and lift for the cheek area. Past experience has shown that lifting and increasing the volume of the cheek area results in overall improvement of the mid-face.

The end result is a more natural looking and youthful appearance. In the vast majority of cases, both the naso-labial folds and marionette lines improve automatically. The best news of all, is its longevity. Voluma has been shown in case studies to last upwards of 2 years. Voluma has been found to be ideal in patients with moderate to severe volume loss of the cheeks and temple area.

Xeomin

Xeomin® (incobotulinumtoxinA) is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines, or "frown lines" between the eyebrows, in adult patients. Offering Xeomin at Dr. Park Avenue. gives you an option from Botox® and other, similar treatments. Xeomin can also be used in combination with volume enhancing products, such as: Radiesse®; orJuvéderm® to gain multiple benefits. The approval of XEOMIN is based on the results of two pivotal U.S. clinical trials involving 16 investigational sites; including 547 healthy adult patients. In both studies, Xeomin significantly improved the appearance of glabellar lines (frown lines) 30 days following the first injection, when compared to placebo. XEOMIN is the only botulinum toxin currently approved in the U.S. that does not require refrigeration prior to reconstitution. Xeomin is also approved for the temporary improvement in the appearance of glabellar lines in 14 countries in the European Union (EU), including Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain, under the brand name BOCOUTURE®.

Botox

Most often, people try Botox as a first-line defense against wrinkles. Botox can stop future wrinkles from forming by preventing the repeated muscle contractions that cause wrinkles to become etched in the skin. Botox is often used in combination with other cosmetic procedures such as photo skin rejuvenation or laser skin resurfacing. Very often, this eliminates the need for invasive cosmetic surgery. Botox is most commonly used to treat crow's feet and fine lines around the eye, forehead wrinkles, and furrowing between the eyebrows.

Botox Treatment Sessions: A proper medical consultation is first performed by our doctors to determine both the patient's needs and expectations as well as the "needs" of the skin. The appropriate skin treatment is then recommended. A Botox treatment session will take about 15-30 minutes. A series of injections will be strategically administered. Once you have received your injections, it will take about 7-10 days to appear for the full effects of Botox.

Revance® Aesthetics is a Biotech company focused on innovation in new products and technology, while transforming and elevating both the Practice and patient experience. Beginning today, we are introducing the RHA® Collection: the first and only hyaluronic acid fillers (HA) designed for facial dynamics to the market. RHA is flawless in motion. Beautiful at Rest. Flawless in Motion.

Introducing the RHA® Collection of designer fillers — exclusively available at Dr. Park Avenue Brick. The only FDA approved hyaluronic acid filler for dynamic wrinkles and folds

Dynamic wrinkles and folds appear in areas of the face that move repetitively. Your face is dynamic, making millions of movements and micro-movements every day. Movements like squinting, frowning, laughing, and talking create dynamic wrinkles and folds. These wrinkles and folds can be difficult to treat because dermal fillers may cause the area to appear stiff or unnatural when the face moves.

RHA® Collection is designed to be resilient enough to adapt to your facial movement, which may provide a more natural look at rest and in motion.

RHA Redensity

RHA Redensity is the newest fda approved filler on the market.  It is the ONLY filler FDA Approved for both superficial dermal and dermal injection of dynamic perioral rhytids.  This indication means that RHA Redensity can be used to target those small lines around the mouth aka "smoker's lines". This filler has a gentle quality allowing your provider to filler even the smallest lines without bulking up that area.  It's meant for correction around the mouth and not an augmentation of the lips.  Available now at Dr. Park Avenue Brick!
