Meet Our Doctor

Dr. Paul Fondacaro received his MD degree from New York University School of Medicine in 1981. He completed his internship and residency in Surgery in 1986 at SUNY Downstate, including chief resident 1985-1988.

After a short stint as Attending Surgeon at Long Island College Hospital, he was recruited to Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, where he served as Assistant Director of Surgery. He held faculty positions as Assistant Professor of Surgery at New York Medical College and afterward as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Cornell Medical College.

He was mentioned as a top surgeon in NY Magazine, Castle Connolly, and Consumer Research Council of America. In 2003, Dr. Fondacaro began to add cosmetic services to his practice. A separate entity was established, which included cosmetic services alone and separate form his own busy surgical practice.

In 2007, he began to practice cosmetic Surgery exclusively and expanded the practice to New Jersey, where Dr. Park Avenue was born.

Dr. Fondacaro started offering smartlipo procedure immediately after FDA approval and became a preceptor and trainer for the Cynosure Laser Company. The practice was bestowed with the title of "Center of Excellence" due to many physicians' training. Today we offer a variety of cosmetic procedures in all three of our facilities.

About Our Office

Before founding Dr. Park Avenue, Dr. Paul Fondacaro dedicated years of study and practice to understanding surgery and medicine. He earned his MD at NYU, served as chief resident at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, and eventually became the attending surgeon at Long Island College Hospital. After taking an interest in the booming aesthetic field, he opened the first location of Dr. Park Avenue, an office that specializes in minimally invasive aesthetic procedures and noninvasive laser services. Business grew rapidly, leading him to hire a staff of certified technicians and eventually expand to a second location.

Anna Lackey, esthetician at Dr. Park Avenue, has certifications in microdermabrasion, Alpha Hydroxy Peels and body wraps. She offers a wide variety of individualized skin and beauty programs. Despite the company's speedy growth and array of services, the doctors maintain a high level of contact with patients, even consulting with them before laser hair-removal procedures.

Another service provided at Dr. Park would be Athena's Spray Tanning at Dr Park Ave the staff is certified by Suvara in the art of Organic Spray Tanning.
